I import tonewood

Manilkara Kauki
I started importing tonewood at about the same time that I started working with bow hair (horsetail hair for bows).

I mostly worked with small batches mainly of wood specifically for bow makers, i.e. ebony for frogs, pernambuco for sticks.

Some bow makers were on the lookout for other types of wood for frogs and sticks, so I researched and found something similar for sticks called Manilkara Kauki.

After this, I gained sort of a small reputation with bow makers of being able to find unusual wood and offer it at low prices.  I still am able to do this today through my contacts both internationally and in North America.

If you are looking for a source of unusual tonewood either for bows or for musical instruments, contact me through my website or send me an email.  I am very responsive and usually can get back to you within a couple business days.
