Tonewood

I can buy tonewood for my customers from a mill in Kunming, China.  They supply all of the top violin, mandolin and guitar factories in China.  As you can imagine, I don't carry a stock of it myself as I have no use for it and it's not a hot ticket item (unlike unfinished violins).  But because I visit China once or twice a year, I can visit the mill and pick out the quality of wood that you are most interested in.  They have all sorts of wood there, some imported from across the border in Myanmar, some furniture-grade pernambuco (they call it Brasilwood) from Brasil, some ebony, bloodwood and rosewood from India and much more.  

If you would like me to be on the lookout for specific grades of tonewood on my next trip, please contact me to set it up.  I require a deposit to make it worthwhile and I guarantee satisfaction.  Often I will text pictures or video to you from the mill and you can make on-the-spot decisions about what you want at that time.
